Eligible women from the 60s and 70s will receive £5,000 in State Pension back payments by the year's end.
The back payment addresses issues with Home Responsibilities Protection (HRP) and Universal Credit National Insurance (NI) records.
HMRC uses NI data to identify those affected by HRP discrepancies between 1978 and 2010.
Around 187,000 cases with a total of £1.043 billion underpaid are being corrected by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
Call the Pension Service at 0800 731 0469 for guidance and check your eligibility on GOV.UK.
DWP’s Annual Reports will update the correction process status. Monitor for the latest information.
The DWP aims to complete all corrections by the end of 2025, assuring all entitled payments are delivered.
