In August 2024, the Singapore Government will disburse $1300 through the GST Voucher Scheme to alleviate rising living costs.
The payout includes Cash Vouchers for utility bills, Medisave Vouchers for healthcare, and U-Save Vouchers for household expenses.
Eligible applicants must be 21+, Singapore residents or citizens, with an annual income below S$21,000. Visa holders need three years of residency.
The 2024 budget increases benefits for low-income residents, with Cash Vouchers between $450-$850 and GSTV Medisave from $150-$450.
Payments start on 1 August 2024 via PayNow-NRIC, with bank credits by 11 August 2024, and GovCash by 21 August 2024.
Recipients must update contact and bank details by 30 April 2024 to avoid delays and ensure prompt payment processing.
From 1 July, the minimum hourly rate increases to $10.50 for full-time and part-time workers, ensuring fair compensation across categories.
