Hawaii, Michigan, and North Carolina

From August 3, Hawaii, Michigan, and North Carolina will start disbursing SNAP payments:

• Hawaii: There are only two paydays. Recipients with last names starting with A-I receive benefits on August 3, and the rest on August 5. Payment amounts in Hawaii are higher than in the contiguous 48 states.
• Michigan: Payments are based on the last digit of the beneficiary’s ID. Those with IDs ending in 0 receive their benefits on August 3, with subsequent payments on odd-numbered days (e.g., 5th, 7th) until August 21.
• North Carolina: SNAP benefits are distributed based on the last digit of the recipient’s Social Security Number (SSN). If your SSN ends in 1, you get benefits on August 3. Unlike Michigan, there are no payments on even-numbered days.
